There's more than one way to get this work off your plate. Here's how the usual options compare, and when one of them is the better choice.
Doing it by hand, or paying someone to
Familiar and reliable, and a person's judgment is hard to beat. Keep the person for the judgment, and hand the repetitive clicks to an agent on a computer of its own.
A chat assistant subscription
Good for drafting, summaries and one-off help. It talks. An agent on a computer of its own does the work inside your accounts and apps.
Cloud agents that come with a computer
No setup, and a computer rented in the provider's cloud, often shared by your agents and billed with the plan. With Cirlet, you own everything: the computers, the accounts, the setup and the software. The computer is on your connection, your agent uses only the accounts you choose, and there's no computer rent. Your agent can even run on a local model, on a computer that can handle it, so the AI is yours too. Same idea, your computer.
Renting cloud desktops for agents
Computers by the month or the hour. Owning the computer means no rent, and a home or office connection instead of a data center.
Setting it up yourself
Free software, full control, and your evenings. ibara is free at ibara.app if you'd like to. The catch is the first stretch: before an agent can reach a new computer, it needs Omarchy and a way in, at minimum SSH, then ibara and Tailscale. After that, your agent can help with the rest. Cirlet is for when you'd rather keep the control and skip the evenings: that first stretch, and the upkeep after it, is what I take on.
Setup services and freelancers
Often a chat-based assistant installed on a rented server or a new mini computer. I set up agents that use browsers and desktop apps on computers you own, with access and control you can see, and I built the software they use.
AI automation agencies
Custom automations, often with a monthly retainer. I agree scope and price with you first, hand you the setup and the admin access, and make ongoing help your choice. I'll also tell you when a simple automation is the better tool.
An IT provider
An IT provider keeps your computers and accounts running. That's a different job: I set up agents to do work, and I don't become your IT department.
When something else is better
If a simple automation or the software you already have can do the job reliably, use it. If the work must stay entirely offline, that needs its own assessment. I'll say so in the first conversation.
